Drowned cities breaking up

Luke will not be playing in Drowned Cities anymore at the band has broken up. Although I was a big fan and loved filming them live, it is not the biggest deal. Luke has a great ear for music and I am sure he’ll find something else to do, and he has already bought some key board thing he is having fun with.

As for the rest: We are still incredibly happy, enjoying each other’s company and loving life. I am focusing on my assessment from UIA and I am still looking for a job. Not too long until my mum and Tormod comes for a visit, and I’ll soon start counting down!

Write soon! <3

My Birthday!

I had a great bday here in Australia with my wonderful fiancé.
I woke up to the birthday song through the phone with my Dad, Synøve and Mariann.
Right after that my mum called, and I got to talk to my bro as well.
Luke came home from work with beautiful flowers and it even had chocolate as decoration.
In the afternoon we went to Max Brenner, a chocolate restaurant and had Chocolate fondue for two!
Full of chocolate we went for a walk at the beautiful South Bank, had a glass of champagne before heading home to watch a movie.
I also got a voucher for Itunes from Dan :D

Well today is Australia day and we are off to some friends to have some fun. Write soon <3

Wedding Venue

Luke and I have been engaged for a bit over a week now, and we have done a lot of research to find the perfect place for our wedding. It’s not like we are obsessing about all the small details jet, it’s just handy to have a venue booked so that we can send out invites to Norway!
After a lot of research and after inspecting our top three places, we found a winner. We are getting married at the Tamborine Gardens, Thursday 28th of March 2013! They offer a choice of the places for the ceremony and two places for the reception.Looking forward to the event, and seeing all of my closest friends and family together! :D

Perfect moment

Our trip was more than amazing and I can’t wait to tell you the details. If you have been on my page on Facebook you might already know the good news but either way, here are the details of our Noosa trip:
We arrived and checked in to the French Quarter Hotel in the main street of Noosa. The weather was great and Luke told me he had booked a table for us later in the evening. Before that we went for a swim in the pool, and enjoying the nice resort. Luke wanted us to dress up for dinner, so we did and I was ready for a restaurant meal.
We walked for a while in the main street of Noosa, and Luke bought me a pair of heart earrings before we headed off to the restaurant.
On our way, Luke dragged me down to the water where a gondola (with a roof) was waiting for us, revealing that we are not eating at the restaurant. I was stunned, and couldn’t believe that we were sitting in a beautiful boat with romantic music.I had no idea what was going on and kept saying that I couldn’t believe how Luke had kept this a secret from me, and what a great surprise this was (not knowing that this was only the beginning of the surprise).

The gondola stopped at North Shore Beach where I could see a table and chairs set up close by. I was stunned and the setting was breathtaking as the sun was setting on one side of the table and the moon was shining over the ocean on the other. Waking up to the chairs I can see that there is a plate with cheese and crackers on the table and a blanket on the ground next to it. I didn’t have any words for it all, and Luke pointed out how it had a note in a bottle (with a photo on Norway on it) and told me to read it.

“Will You Marry Me?” it said, and when I turned around Luke was sitting down on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hands. He asked me again and I said “Yes” and kissed him. While this was happening people was applauding and created a perfect and fun moment.

After popping the Champagne and eating some crackers, we headed back to the gondola to wet off to a nice restaurant next to the river. The night was perfect and a real fairytale! I felt like a princess with my prince charming, which is exactly what a proposal should feel like :D

Nye Year Eve 2011/2012

Luke and I went to Coolangatta for New Year Eve to see Dead Letter Circus with Reuben and Rachel! :D

It was raining on our way down and we were struggling to see the car in front of us at times.

Reubs and Rachel down at the Coolangatta Hotel! =) (Reubs playing drumms in Drowned Cities)

This is Luke and I before the concert, in our motel room which was on the other side of the state border (New South Wales, Not Queensland) J
