A new house mate and A new job?

It’s been 4 days since our new housemate mover in, and she seems great. Her name is Jaime, she is 29 years old and she is Canadian! She seems easy to live with so far, and we get along pretty well =) On the day she moved in on Sunday she was telling me about a Italian café deli where one of her friends from back home are working. She told me that he was quitting and that they were in need of staff. Jaime had been to an interview there, but before the contacted her about the job she had already found another job (That’s how easy it is if you have experience and if you bump in to a place in need of staff). Anyway I went down with my resume at the Italian Café and the girl I was talking to was Norwegian, so we ended up chatting for a bit. She told me she could put in a good word for me and some hours later the manager called me in for an interview! I was so happy that I finally had an interview after SDS! The interview went well and I am having a trial shift on Friday, she well put me on the next week’s roster if I do well! SO I pretty much have a new job, FINALLY!

This will make our life so much easier and I can buy a coffee without feeling bad, not that I will need to, as there’s free coffee at work ;)

Trip to the Natural Bridge

I finally found my cord for my camera, so that I can show you photos from our trip to the rainforest. The photos aren’t as beautiful as the place is in real life, but you can still get the picture.

We went to the Natural Bridge which is about a two hours’ drive from Brisbane, and even though the trip made me carsick it was absolutely worth it!

Wedding dresses!

So I know I haven’t been writing for a while, and I am sorry for that. It’s just been one of those times where I have had other things to think about than the blog. Ever since Luke proposed I have been overwhelmed with happiness and not a day goes by without me jumping of joy! I keep steering at my ring, and I love being engaged! It all feels so right!

As you know we have a date for our wedding, and a venue, and I think I might have found the dress too! Even though Luke isn’t supposed to see it, I have chosen to show you guys here (the reason is that it’s not 100% certain that I’ll end up with this exact dress, although the chance seems great!).

Isn’t this dress just amazing? I am having it made and it will be white (not champagne as in the photo).

I have also looked at a couple of bridesmaids dresses for my three bridesmaids. I haven’t decided which to go for but these are the one's I am looking at (know that the dress will be blue):
