In Norway

As you all know, I am now in Norway! The trip here was long and I have been struggling with the jet lagged ever since I arrived. I have been here a almost two weeks now and I have been studying for my exam most of the time, and every day I would fall asleep at 3 PM, which is 11 PM at home in Australia! I have also met Ina and my best mate Fredrik, and it was great seeing them both again. They have both gotten their wedding invitation, so the first invitations are now given out! I am so excited about our wedding, but there’s a long way there.

Maria had her confirmation last weekend, here's a photo of me and my mum in our Bunad's. (Mine is made by my grandmother).

Today I am going to have an MRI to figure out if I need to operate (new doctor new demands), and if I need to operate I will be signed in the 29th of May. I do however hope that I can avoid the operation of my ankle and travel back home to my beloved Luke.
I am going to My dad’s town tomorrow, and I am staying there for a week before I will be back in Kristiansand. Really looking forward to seeing my dad again, been a long time now! <3

  1. Hi Helene, Love the picture of you and your Mum, your Bunad's a very nice. I know that trip must be very tiring. I'm sure you are glad to be with your Mum and to be in Norway for the 17th of May. Hope everything goes well with your ankle, maybe you won't need surgery. I know you must miss Luke terribly but it will be that much sweeter when you do get home to him. Have a good visit with your Dad, say Hello from me. When we came over the first time, I always appreciated the fact that your Dad knew how left out I felt because I can't speak Norwegian. He talked to me in English even if it wasn't perfect he at least tried, so I felt a little more comfortable because of that. We were at the Salvation Army watching a small play and I didn't know what was going on , so he translated for me. Anyway, you have a wonderful visit with everyone and take care of yourself. Talk to you soon. Love, Aunt Judy
