On the 3rd
March 2012 Luke and I were busy looking for a wedding venue, we had set a date
for the big date and the friends and family had been given a heads up, they had
1 year to save up for a trip down under.
The 3rd
March 2012 Luke and I also had a secret wedding with 2 of our closest friends
as witnesses, making this our “secret wedding anniversary”. We have officially
been married 2 years, the best 2 years of my life.
We have
decided to celebrate on the 28th March though, as this is the date
our marriage was registered in Norway. It’s the date so many of my family and
friends made the trip to the other side of the world to celebrate the big day. It’s
the date we exchanged wedding rings, it’s the date we have engraved in the
wedding rings and it’s the date I signed the form to make Luke’s last name
mine.
Although we
will celebrate on the 28th, it was nice to recognize the 3rd
with a lovely dinner, candles, a comedy movie and a sparkling wine at home. Best
Monday night I ever had!
