Different things =)

Life goes on here in Brisbane with Luke and Ina and everyone else, even though I’ll always be missing Dollie, my parents, my brothers and sisters and my friends back home. It is hard to move away from people you love and care about and not one day goes by without someone in Norway on my mind. But I am very happy here and I am sure you are happy for me.

Having a small pool on our veranda is great. I have only used it 2 times, but I love having the opportunity to cool down in the sun. Ina and I spend several hours in there one day, drinking “grownup soda” and listening to music. It was a great day but I did end up with a sunburn :P

Since I got the job at SDS I haven’t been looking for one, meaning I have had very little to do. Ina stayed home from school some days and we watched Family Guy most of the time. It’s great when we are home alone, because we can do whatever we want to and we enjoy each other’s company :D I am really not looking forward to the 22th of Des when Ina leaves…

I also made a new healthy and colourful dish for Luke and me. It is chicken with potato, vegetables and chutney, and it tasted great. It is definitely one of our new recipes for our cooking book. Food doesn’t get better than healthy and delicious!

I had to buy a new phone yesterday, because mine wouldn’t charge anymore. I didn’t want to use a lot of money on one, as I don’t have much left so I went to Cash Converters and bought a used one. It works great and I am very happy with it, although I did like my old one (also my dad’s old one). Anyway my new one is a HTC LEGEND from last year =)

Luke’s band was playing live here in Greenslopes, and I recorded it again.  I’ll put a video up once it’s on youtube. I'll write soon =)

  1. Hi Helene, Your new dish sure looks good,I'm sure Luke likes coming home to a nice dinner after working all day. I've been looking at the pictures of the band on Facebook, bet you have a good time going with them when they are playing a gig. Glad you got to go to a lawyer and find out what you need to do, it will make it much easier. When Ina goes home in Dec. will she be coming back after the holidays? I know you will miss her a lot and I know you miss your family a lot, too. When will you be having surgery in Norway? You'll be able to see everyone then. It's good that we have computers and Skype now, it's much easier to keep in touch. Your new phone looks nice, your cousin Tracy has, I think an Iphone and she can do everything on it. It's amazing she really doesn't need a computer, she does everything on it.I guess I'm from the old school, I just have a no frills phone that doesn't even take pictures but it is good enough for me. Well you and Ina have fun and try not to get sunburnt. Talk to you soon. Love, Judy

  3. Hello Judith,
Thanks, I can promise you that it tasted great too. Luke loves it when I make dinner for him, but he also makes dinner for me sometimes. Usually pizza or something though :P I love making food and taking good care of him as long as he appreciates it and doesn’t take it for granted. I also love watching him play with the band, a proud girlfriend right here =)
It was great paying 100 AUD to see a lawyer, now we know that we are on the right path and what to do next. I am going to Norway 28th of April or so, as my operation is in May, along with two exams. I’ll be home around one month and I’ll definitely be able to see everyone again. My new phone is a lot like an iphone, and I do almost everything on it as I do with my computer. When Ina leaves, she is not coming back for a while. Next time I’ll see her is in May and after that, I have no idea.
If you could send me you email or something I can give you my information. I don’t want to write such personal information online as everyone who enters this page can steal it.
    Love Helene
