Wrong Visa?

Nothing much is new here in Brisbane. Working two times a week, until the last week of November where I get 4 shifts a week. Love working at SDS and I am starting to get the hang of retail again. Just wish it was a full time position, which is hard to get on this Visa. I’m not too happy about being on this visa, as it’s not really a Visa for my situation. There are a lot of down sides with being on the “wrong” type of visa but it does give me the greatest benefit of all, It allows me to be with Luke so I shouldn’t complain too much.

Ina has decided to go home earlier and she will now be leaving the 10 of December. That’s one month from now (approximately). Not really happy about it, but I can control what she wants. As she leaves we need to find a new person to move in to her room, as we can’t afford paying for her part of the rent. Don’t really want to live with a stranger, but we’ll probably adjust to it.

Write soon! xx

  1. Hi Helene, Maybe after the holidays are over they will offer you full time. Especially if you do well and they like you, maybe it will work out. I know you will miss Ina a lot, she is such a good friend to you. I really hope you can find someone nice to live with you, does Luke know anyone who needs a place to live? Even a friend of a friend might not be so bad. As long as you get someone reliable that will pay there part with no problems. Not much going on here, we've been watching the Alabama-LSU football game they are both really good teams, they have a player who is the place kicker for LSU that is from Melbourne,Aust. and I believe there is one on the Alabama team from Brisbane. Sure is a small world, Huh. Well, you take care, talk to you soon. Love, Judy

  2. Hello, I am pretty sure they won’t offer me a full time job, as they don’t need any people. + They know about my visa and I can only be employed for 6 months, already been employed for one and a half. So I will need to find a new job, and I will =) Luke doesn’t know anyone who needs a place to stay so we need to find a stranger, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. Last year I lived with 4 strangers and the year before that I lived with a dud I didn’t know and we ended up being good friends. And yes, the world sure is small. Take care. Talk soon. xx
