I have already told you how happy I am here in Brisbane. Living with my best friend Ina and my boyfriend Luke, + his brother Dan. I miss my people back home but this is my new home now and I’m getting used to it. But last night I found myself thinking of Dollie, and it’s driving me crazy not to have her around me at all times. I'm thinking of bringing her here in a year or so, but I haven’t decided for sure yet. It's a big decision and I'll have to think of it some more before I decide.
Its 10 days since I arrived and yesterday made me realize how normal my relationship finally is. Since the very beginning of our relationship we have travelled around together in Australia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany. And the time we haven't spent travelling we have spent apart, using Skype to communicate. Yesterday Luke was at work while I was out looking for a job, and around 4 PM we both came home from our daily routine. We went shopping for groceries and made dinner before Luke had to go to band practice. I stayed at home watching TV with Dan and when Luke came home he was exhausted and went to bed, while I finished watching the movie. I then realized that we had only seen each other for less than one hour that day, but I didn’t mind. It made me think how normal our relationship finally is, even though I prefer days where we can spend some more time together. The important thing is that we are both happy with our situation, and we have 8 months left to enjoy it.
