The Mustang

The first weekend in our springbrake everyone I knew traveled, except for me and one of my housemates. We decided to go out and party, but when the time came I didn't feel like it anymore. I told myself that I wasn't meant to sit inside and that I would have a great time meeting new people. So I dressed up in my favourite red dress and we  ended up in a sports bar called the Mustang. It was full of people, and it turned in to a perfect night. For many Australians it would seem weird that i had a perfect night going to the Mustang, because in a City full of great pubs you would probably choose a different bar. But I'll tell you what made my day.

Here is what happened:

A girl came up to me telling me how great I looked in my red dress. I get that a lot, which is the reason I love that dress. She introduced me to her brother, Chris, and we started talking. Chris had a really good looking friend that I couldn't take my eyes off. Our eyes met several times, and it was obvious that he was as interested as I was. After a while Chris walk away and his handsome friend came up to me and started talking. His name was Luke, and I don't believe it was love at first sight but it was definitly something there. We talked for hours that night, and the later it got the more we realised how much we had in common. We left the Mustang for a walk and ended up at Kangaroo Point looking at the beautiful view when the sun rised over Brisbane City. A smile on my face enjoying every minute of it. That night we talked alot, about our two favourite things, music and traveling. He had traveled a lot and we had been to a lot of the same places. I didn't expect that he had been in Scandinavia and especially not Norway, but he had.

The day after we went to eat at South Bank and we got to know each other more. He was just as handsome this day as I remembered him from the night before. We talked about all sorts of things including music and travelling. He told me that he was playing in a band called Drowned Cities, and I listened to it on MySpace and realised that it's the type of music I like. We were home alone that night, watching movies and eating snacks. It was late when he left, and it didn't seem like he wanted to, but it was late and he had work in the morning. I slept like a princess that night, looking forward to the next time we would meet.
