So I have a little confession to make. I’m Already In Australia! See the thing is that I wanted to surprise Luke for his Birthday, so I arrived one week earlier. Although my surprise didn’t go as I planned. Here’s what happened:
When I finally arrived in Australia, around 50 hours after I left my Dad’s place in Halden, Ina met me at the airport. She had known that I was arriving this day since I purchased the tickets the 10th of June. She told me that Luke had no Idea that I was coming and we started to plan how to surprise him. We had talked about this for ages but we still hadn’t come up with a final plan. In the taxi back to Ina’s place we decided to get Luke over to Ina’s place to surprise him there. I simply couldn’t wait one more day to surprise him on his birthday party; I had to see him soon! While Ina and I had a great time, sitting in the sun drinking beer, we texted Luke a photo of my tattoo saying that his birthday present had arrived. He didn’t answer and we sent him another photo. Hours later we called him but he wouldn’t pick up. He didn’t phone back in ages and I decided to text him from my Norwegian phone that he had to come on Skype. When he finally did I told him where I was and told him to come pick me up.. So much for that surprise.. He sounded confused, like he had no idea what to do. That last hour felt like hours and I couldn’t stand or sit still, and I had no idea how he would react.
Ina told me that he was coming and I went to meet him in the door. Ina was filming it so I wasn’t allowed to meet him outside because of the camera. He came in and we met for the first time in almost two months. It was amazing seeing him again, and he looked very happy. Ina said that he had used a long time to get here, and the reason was that he had arranged a surprise for me and that it took some minutes because he had to pack his car. In the car he had packed his bed, blankets and some clothes, he had also been shopping some strawberries, chocolate, cheese, crackers and beer. His plan was to go to our new house, which he had just picked up the keys too, and spend the night there. IT was no power in the house, but Luke had brought candles and we played music from our laptops. Sitting in Luke’s arms, eating strawberries and chocolate, while listening to my favourite band, was the perfect way of spending my first evening in Australia.
I am so glad that you are there, I know how much you wanted this and it has finally happened. Luke is one in a million, you better be good to him, cause he's a keeper. How exciting that he has got your place for both of you to live. Who needs electricity, candles are much more romantic anyway. What more could you possibly want, you have it all now. Enjoy your life sweetie and your man. I'm am sure Ina must be very glad you are there, good friends are a blessing. Keep in touch, take care. Love, Aunt Judy
